Weeping Roses
I was thinking of getting a weeping rose, I have heard that not all weeping roses that are sold as such, (wrong sought of canes, I think), are that good as weepers. So my question is, what do you look for to to have a good chance in getting a good weeping rose.
Re: Weeping Roses
Soft canes, climbing habit. Most, not all weepers are better with medium to small flowers, good repeat as you do not want just green leaves, What colour are you thinking of Paul.

To be honest Paul, I think you are going to find those colours hard in a weeper. Go to the online cats and look there to start.

Re: Weeping Roses
Please correct me if I'm wrong (probably!!) David, but isn't Crepuscule a good "weeper"?

Re: Weeping Roses
Here is a photo I took this afternoon of a Crepuscule weeper (took through my car windscreen, sorry about that!). Hasn't been pruned this year and is on the tail end of it's spring flush. Probably on a 1.2m trunk.

We had ne on a stand but it passed away last year. We now have a new one that is going well.
Saw a Seafoam weeper once and it looked great.
