Alternative uses for Roses!

Just wondered what other uses for roses rather than blooms, other forum members have.  For example, I've made rose petal wine.      What have you done?!   

Do you have a recipe to share , Sue....and what is the approx. % alcohol in it....

Pot Purri
Scattered in the bath
Thrown at weddings
Perfume
Fragrant oils

When I actually have some roses in my garden, I'm hoping to try rose petal jam and rose hip jelly. I hope I get enough hips.

John, yes somewhere I have the recipe.  Have no idea of the alcofrolic content!  Don't think we really minded then!  It was rather good, according to friends.  Well, they used to go home smiling!! Will look it out for you if you're interested.

Sue, look at it from our point of view....... we see some nice hips and our minds boggle a bit as to what we can do with them......

Anyway, looks like my rough and rugged lady friends who will be attending my garden party (Sarah van Fleet and Rosarie de l'Hay) don't even have any hips, so you boys are out of luck!

Shame, that. I would have liked to have seen a nice set of hips on these exotic beauties.

You know Dave, I found this awfully cute alpine house that has roses and hips for sale.......are you free on the weekend to do some purchases........

Not had too much success with them...I saw bun.... last weekend had a few antiques for sale...... thought I might start over again.....
