I have a couple of roses with scale what do people find the best way to treat it and get rid of it for example use eco-oil,white oil etc or any home brew remedys that will clear it up etc.Cheers

I spray an agricultural oil e.g. White Oil, Pest Oil, Eco Oil etc. combined with an insecticide e. g.  Pyrethrum using  the recommended quantities then follow up a week later using the same mixture. After another week I use a jet of water from the hose to remove the unsightly white residue. I check regularly for outbreaks particularly in areas of the garden where roses grow with other plants. If I discover an outbreak I repeat the earlier mentioned treatment.

Have you tried any Beneficial Insects to rid yourself of the Scale. ECO Certified Organics have - Ladybeetles (Luke) - Luke is an orange ladybeetle (but without the spots!) he feeds on scale. He particularly likes scale on roses and citrus.
I have used these many times & have just ordered my Spring supply as well as seeds to grow to allow them to have a home to go to too breed.
