Potting Ingredience
Peoples, after getting computer RSI trying to find a good recipe I have come up with this mixture. I certainly need the benefit of everyones experience.
medium grade jarrah etc... not pine
washed coarse sand
coir peat brick
cow manure
loam
1/2 cup worm castings
1/2 cup epsum salts
slow release fertiliser
blood & bone
seasol
One question is... how many parts would I use of each.. if indeed the above stuff is going to be good for roses...

Re: Potting Ingredience
lets see....
the jarrah will suck the nitrogen out of the soil to help it break down.. a new plant does not want fertilizer till it is established as it will burn.....
Paul, if it was me, I would take a trip up to Melvilles and get a few bags of his specially made up rose potting mix...can't go wrong there with his special blend.....
