Spraying for Powdrey Mildew
I was just wondering if I'm using the right method when spraying for Powdrey Mildew. I spray all the leaves and under the leaves as well as the stems until they are ringing wet.... I do use Triforine...just wondering if I'm puting to much on them?

Have you tried bicarb solution Paul?
3 level teaspoon Bicarb Soda to 1 litre of water and a few drops of Fish Emulsion.

get the hose out early in the morning and wash the rose bushes down...do a couple a week. This is so that the spores don't have a chance to do there thing.....

yes Warren, me too after I ask a few years ago what this white crap on my roses.....also got told by same old timer, that washing roses early in day , refreshes the roses...

Warren might put in 'scientific' terms, but for me, leaves go to sleep over night and reopen as the day warms up, the leaves breath, so washing of a morning(EARLY) would remove the spores.

Re: Spraying for Powdrey Mildew
Thanks peoples....Just one thing though...can you put too much Triforine on the leaves....eg: I soak the leaves on top and underneath...is that an over kill...or should I just spray the tops of the leaves?
Re: Spraying for Powdrey Mildew
no ...it is not an overkill..it is the correct way of doing it....overkill would be spraying your bushes 3-4 times a week....

I have the same problem, just one bush. I took the leaves off and sprayed it dont know if that works thought I might try it.
