Unknown rose

Hi,
I rescued a rose from an abandoned garden being cleared by RTA works (thats the roads one, not the rose one!). It is clumping, with canes 1.5 - 2m. Bud tips deep pink, opening to light pink, fading to white with some pink speckles. Not much fragrance. Not able to post external links yet on this forum and couldn't upload straight from my computer into this format. So no pic yet sorry!

It is a pretty rose.

Does it ever get quite large blousy flowers like this:

If so this is what I have as 'Rosa Indica Major'. Mine was also found in an abandoned garden here in Tasmania. 'Indica Major' is about as close as I've come to an identification. It was used as an understock a lot in times gone by and you will find a lot of them at this time of the year in older gardens where the top grafted sections has died off.

Not sure that the flowers get as large as in your picture, they seem more simple, but it has only flowered for me to a good degree for the first time this year. Interesting being a rootstock, there is also a similar one in front of a neighbours place that could well be remnants of a rootstock. I would love it to be Indica Major as I love the history and use of plants and Indica major has been important as you would know.

This particular flower stood out as being larger and more blousy than I have seen in a while. They are often more simple and less double... I'll take some other diagnostic-type photos when I get home from work this afternoon.
