It seems to be fertile enough.... (4 of the seedlings were found out on the burn heap LOL)

hehe Feel free. If we didn't cut it back rather solidly then it would be HUGE. Not so good for a ball on a stick I suppose...!

I thought of that too Barbara... surely no one would be so silly as to put that big rose on a standard... maybe I'm giving people too much credit LOL

Well, we have a Sparrieshoop and it is not the same. That also has a tendency to pretty wicked thorns doesn't it?
If someone was going to try Sparrieshoop as a standard... surely it would be a taller one!
