Simon wrote:The gravel path is new Dee!!! When did you do that? It looks great
It is a big fake Simon. It is sawdust over weed mat. The path is not used often so we can get away with it.
It is in a corner of the garden that has steps leading to and away from it so a mown lawn path would not be easy to get the mower to.

Re: Ready for visitors
It did not take any cleverness to do Ozeboy, it just grew like Topsy. I hardly planned anything.Ozeboy wrote:Billndee, wish I had the expertise to make a beautiful garden like that.
Actually I like the plants to speak for themselves in a garden. Flourishing beautiful plants don't need clever landscaping to look good. They look good on their own.

Fantastic, Dee! What a wonderful garden, so many lovely roses all blooming like crazy! A rose - lover's Paradise.
Re: Ready for visitors
The visitors came today. Fifteen of them from the Heritage Rose Society. We had a fantastic time. They liked the garden very much and took their time dawdling through it commenting on this and that rose and appearing to be enjoying themselves. I learnt a lot from them and I like to think they also learned a little from me.
They are a nice mob. I'm glad I joined.

Wow Dee!! How wonderful is that - and what a fabulous backdrop! You must find it difficult leaving your part of paradise even to go shopping.
