Hi all just wondering does anyone grow these hybrid tea roses and what are the views on them..........Holtermann"s gold, Folklore, Silver lining, Cherry lady.

I grow Folklore, Silver Lining and Cherry Lady and give thumbs up to the three for different reasons.

WE had the H/Gold but we had problems because it kept sending up multiple heads which we did not want for the show bench

Hi Martino, I have Holterman's Gold, it gives plenty of good well shaped, good colour consistently. Though it does occasionally produce multiple heads, I get far more single long stems blooms. Foliage may be the only negative aspect, mines never has foliage that is like my other roses, they always seem to look like their lacking something, however that could be location. I would certainly advise you to go with Holterman's.

As far as showing goes, you may need to canvas others on that one, the yellow is a good strong yellow, its by no means a buutercup yellow, but has good depth.
