Re: Info on this rose Dioressence
hey Martino , I've had mine for three years , it is a slow growing rose IMO. the blooms are beautiful colour and the scent is great , I haven't had any problems with black spot or mildew, altogether it is a good rose , just the growing process is very slow .

Martino, silky adores this rose. If you can, change your title to "Info on Dioressence", and I am sure she will leap in with all the info you need. She's almost talked me into getting one...

Re: Info on this rose Dioressence
Hahaha, you're right Betsy, I'm leaping in!
Martino, this is one rose I wouldn't be without. The most glorious coloured flowers and the perfume is head-spinningly wonderful. French perfume. Yes, it takes a little time to get really established, like many roses, but she is a beauty and grows quite easily. Good health too. She grows alongside Chartreusse De Palme which tends to get BS but it doesn't seem to affect her. Doesn't mind growing with other plants. Mine is nearly swamped with forget-me-nots, bluebells and irises, she just forges ahead doing her sweet thing. Repeat is excellent, flowers don't frizzle in the heat or turn to sludge in the wet, like Blue Moon. Mine is about 1.3m tall. These pics are from last season.

Re: Info on this rose Dioressence
Definitely delbard should pay her promotional fees. I'm so utterly sold now on Dioressence. Trouble will be getting it . The bareroot season is finished, and I'm at a l,oss. My Bunnings specialises in clapped-out Icebergs and Mr Lincolns, and wretched sticks of Double Delight (which I loathe even when it's not a wretched stick). Must ring around.

Re: Info on this rose Dioressence
Haha Betsy. I wish! I think you would be happy with Dioressence if you happen to find it. I haven't actually seen it anywhere in the last couple of years.betsyw wrote:Definitely delbard should pay her promotional fees.
Jordan, I really like a lot of the Delbard roses, I'm happy to recommend them if they actually live up to my standards. One I haven't got but would like is Henri Matisse but wish it had more fragrance. Actually I happened to be at Bunnings today and snaffled 4 Fairy Magnolias! Woohoo! Now just have to dig a nice big bed for a hedge to back up my rose vista.
Dianne thank you for kind comments. My garden is just a suburban block, not as large a garden as I would like. Some parts I really like, other bits are brand new, some parts leave a lot to be desired but I try not to look at those! I will take some photos when some roses are out.

Danny, I have had 2 x Madam Bovary standards for 2 years and they are growing beautifully. The flowers are so big and healthy.
I am sure you will be happy with the varieties you have chosen.

Martino, lucky you! That was quite a find. I'm sure you'll love Dioressence as much as I do.
Danny, please let us know how you go with them. Particularly Henri Matisse and how fragrant it is, or not.

Re: Info on this rose Dioressence
IMO, the short of it is "most" of Dan's are in pots, smaller area to "heat", then add water and food, next comes the flowers. soils in general need 14c for things to grow
