The "Quote" a small Tutorial
We noticed a few people are having a funny time with quoting, ie: posting inside a quote box, so hopefully this will help.......
1. On the post that you want to quote, there is a button on top of that post. Click on that button.
2. A new page comes up with a beige color box with your quote in it. Now outside the box on the bottom on the left side is the cursor. This is where you start your writing. Before you start your writing you can hit "enter" button to give you a clean line after the quote.
So now you have it in two steps, so happy "quoting"....

Yep, that's what I've been pressing, however the cursor wont move to the outside box. I've clicked everywhere in the white outside box but no joy.
Re: The "Quote" a small Tutorial
cursor is already outside the box...right next to the bottom left corner

I just tried explorer and in one that I clicked on when I pressed enter the cursor went outside the box. but when trying it on other post, it wouldn't work.
Re: The "Quote" a small Tutorial
I can't seem to pinpoint your problem , Paul, but it seems to be a browser problem. I have tried with firefox and google chrome and they have your problem. Must check with coding in the Portal.....

Re: The "Quote" a small Tutorial
John, I tried this morning at 5.40AM and had the same problem as Paul, no "cursor" outside the highlighted "quote". when I used it before I had to go back and edit it.
I wonder how Gary achieved it.

Re: The "Quote" a small Tutorial
Hmmmm. I'm using Firefox also (always have - and in fact did so yesterday when I replied to something in quote?).
I went to reply quote:

But found a different type of box than usual. One that won't let me put the cursor outside it.

Re: The "Quote" a small Tutorial
When the page is loading it starts out like normal - the [quote ] text on white background - and then it changes to that coloured box.

Re: The "Quote" a small Tutorial
I cannot get the cursor out of the box either. I am using IE. Hmmm not too bad anyway. Especially if it is going to cause much hair pulling from the resident fixer.

Hey Mr "Fixit" I thought you had changed the posting area, I apologize, the forum Carole is on has the same thing in theirs, must have come from fourmotion themselves.
