Re: 3 new babies
Mrs B R Cant looks wonderful but too big for me here I think. M Tillier I have as a maybe, although it too is large. I remember Jaci singing its praises a few months back. Does anyone have experience with it in Melbourne, especially in regard to its size and growth? It seems the Teas may not be very suitable in a suburban garden like mine given they grow so tall and wide, especially if they don't like being pruned as you say Ozeboy. Yes I have seen photos of Balinbear's garden, what a fantastic place it must be, with so many roses cascading beautifully. I can't imagine the work involved but the result is a rose lover's dream.

HMF premium membership($24) will let you use the advance search facility for size and many other aspects of roses.

Re: 3 new babies
Silky, I have suggested 'Devonensis' in previous posts as a Tea with great fragrance and is one of the smallest in this group.
It's quite suitable for small suburban gardens being a slow grower. Do not buy the 'Climbing Devonensis' as it is a monster outgrowing Jack's beanstalk.
I did make mention to look at pedigrees in the past only to have someone consider it not necessary. When you hear of a rose with a tea fragrance most likely it has had a Tea rose not far back in it's pedigree. Usually the Tea's are used to improve HT's health.

Re: 3 new babies
Sorry Paulh, I know most guard their spare time so reluctant to give out names etc.
Should you want to learn more about roses the I suggest you go where they all congregate like the Heritage Rose Soc. There are people listed who are office bearers like Karen Davey 0893372493, John Picton 93861165, Val Shiell 92996868.
Also contact the Rose soc of WA, attend their meetings and find someone who is happy to help. You can't go wrong with any of these Heritage and modern growers of fantastic roses.

The French bred climber Nahema grows very well, a prolific bloomer of lovely Pink fragrant roses. I think my one died digging it up to bring it to Tasmania, I will definitely buy another one of it when I can.

Sorry John, look for the most up there rose grower in WA. Not any of the Tea Ladies, more heritage than modern rose interests.

I did not know we were a secret society Bruce. It was asked by a member to you so they could find out more about roses.

Re: 3 new babies
The subject is closed, they deserve their privacy not being listed as an office bearer of a rose society. I'm out and gone on this subject and am not responsible for others knowledge. I think I give members and the forum a lot of my time and help others expand into other types of roses and learn how these were used to create modern roses.
Yes, I'm guilty of a lot of raving and hope that revs up some of the topics here.
I am still learning and since starting into breeding about 7 to 8 years ago feel very much like a beginner. Everyone on the forum should have a try at breeding roses you won't be disappointed.
