Re: MORE AND MORE ROSES
oooooooo The Mayflower has pointy petals like Grace. Don't think I've seen a pic of her before. Hmmmmm *looks at The List*....

Re: MORE AND MORE ROSES
Thanks for giving me another rose fix Jordan. Lovely.
I have heard that Young Lycidas can be awkward in growth habit and sparse foliage. Have you found this? Might have to rethink things...again!

Re: MORE AND MORE ROSES
I love my little Lycidas. Pretty shape, and the leaves are now filling out very well. Starts out a bit gappy between leaves, but time and tide...
I think this one might suit your personality as far as I can tell, silky. Just darling, fun to watch - so many bursts of basal breaks, oodles of bloom each flush, good vibe, lovely aura of fragrance, looks feminine and delicate, but also a strong and unflappable creature . I'd call it a bijou

Re: MORE AND MORE ROSES
Sounds wonderful Betsy, thank you, it definitely stays on the list then. Wonder if I could fit in more than one?

Re: MORE AND MORE ROSES
Start with just one to see if you like it, silky. My warm fuzzy feeling about YL may be some sort of weirdo replacement therapy for a grandchild (hurry up! hurry up!). It's just so damn cute in babyhood.
A slight downside is flush frequency - two months between them. Now, each flush brings a bushel of blooms - something like 14 flowers on a little plant only 18" high at this stage. Yummy scent, quite complex.

Re: MORE AND MORE ROSES
That looks a lot different to my Blackberry Nip. Goes to show how much a climate can change the colour and shape!
