Re: Some Mini's
Does anyone apart from me /us grow Gladdies.
I collect the seed, grow them, then plant the bulblets.
In this strip of ground where the mini's are I just raked in the bulblets to see what they would do. So 18 months ago they were only seeds, now they starting to flower and seem to be good strong plants.

Re: Some Mini's
Carole, I used to grow Gladies in sand when living within 100 metres from the open Pacific ocean at Stockton. They grew very well with plenty of feeding and loads of manure spread beginning of each year. I have 6 corms to put in now or probably lose them.
The downside is they do need spraying here and I'm not about to do that.

Re: Some Mini's
I would plant them sooner rather than later Bruce. It is about 12 weeks from planting to flowering.
This year has been VERY late for some reason. Last year I was picking bunch's at the beginning of November. We are well into December, so far I think I have had only 2 flowers. I have got a few buds.
