Silky , i gave my mum a Gemini , she really liked it , but not much perfume , nice blooms though , it died , something happened to it , can't remember exactly what , i think something fell on it ...

Thanks Maree. I don't usually consider a rose with no perfume but I really like the form of Gemini. Maybe if it's surrounded by heavy perfume machines maybe I won't mind?

Judging by Ozroz's results, Gemini is a pretty nifty little breeder.

Well autumn, knowing absolutely nothing about breeding roses, I take it that he would use it for some desirable characteristics?

I remember now why i bought Gemini , its a very easy rose to grow , healthy , nice flower , just a shame it hasn't got any perfume ....

I have Royal Dane here [also known as Troika] from memory . A stunning rose in the golden coppery bronze shades with some hints of salmony pink in it's depths.

I have Gemini, beautiful formed flower but for some reason I can't seem to get it to grow, in spite of it been touted as so easy to grow it's a beginners rose. I'll give it awhile longer yet but I don't hold much hope for it...

Hi Silky , we went to the Werribee Rose Gardens yesterday , and have now got the roses i would like all sorted for next year , unless of course there are some new releases for 2013 , that really take my fancy ....

It's a lovely place isn't it Maree? And so many roses to look at and sniff. What took your fancy then? Were there any surprises, standouts, OMG I've just gotta have its? lol

Hi Silky , i've been there three to four times i think , so have got to know the layout , this time was definately the most interesting as i knew a lot of the roses there , i wanted to check out the roses i had on my list , they were all there , most surprising was the fragrance of Francis Dubriel , amazing , that was on my list and its a beautiful rose . The roses i'd like to plant next year are the ones we have been talking about , Fragrant Cloud , Valencia , Red Cross , Olde Fragrance , Francis Dubreil , Jubilee Celebration ,Nahema. I was really happy that i saw them and have got spots for them all .........
