Watering the garden today I noticed a visitor exploring the roses:

He was hiding in Pascali. Gave me a bit of a fright. When I looked further I found another in Centenaire de Lourdes Rouge, one in Mr Lincoln and another in Sir Donald Bradman. There were also 2 more over in the Rosemary bush beside the path. So 6 in all. I hope they move on and find a new home!!!!

That's pretty cool! I love visitors like that.. they look like green tree snakes (http://www.tvwc.org/HTML/green%20tree%20snake.htm).

I'm fairly sure it is a Green Tree Snake. We had a larger one around a couple of months ago, and it disappeared in a gap in the brick steps at the front of the house. Now we spotted 6 babies not too far from that area, so assume we have the family hatched not too long ago!!! Hope there aren't too many more of them around though!

Plenty of Kookaburra's around here too, so if they venture out on the lawn at all they won't last long!!

No, they're usually fairly harmless. I just prefer to keep out of their way, and have them stay out of my way. Best to have a healthy regard for any snake I reckon.

That wouldn't be a bad thing, but I still prefer to have them gone. Went looking this morning and found 4 of the 6 today. 1 was hiding deep in foliage, so couldn't get a shot of him, but snapped the other 3:

4 of them were either on the verandah, or very close to it. That's why I'm happy to see them move on.......... Arrow
