Wendy, you could collect on the way home. If you get there talk to Noel and Judy if possible, they are great. Also there is the most helpful girl there named Karine, talk to her as well, she comes highly reckommended by me.

Only three in the back of the ute, they must have been huge. You didn't have the children in the back did you Wendy, so which nursery did you go to

Oooh, yum, I've always loved their pics of Sidonie. Please keep me posted. I think 3 is remarkably restrained. What were you thinking only leaving room for 3?? Lol. Balinbear, I agree I would hate to think what kind of state I would be in if I lived near a good nursery.

Went to Mistydowns "on my way" to Hamilton for a conference.
Could have possibly fitted another 1-3 barerooted in there but... budgetary constraints...

Hahaha
A lot of room was being taken up by ANOTHER rose (in full leaf etc) that I was taking down to put in the raffle ('Apricot Nectar' in case someone was going to ask about that. )
And yes, I was (remarkably) restrained. It did help that most of the ones on the racks were not on "my list".

I tell you its been hard this year not to order any. We still have some in pots form last year plus the ones we have grown from cuttings plus the ones I orderred from Bruce last year plus the couple grown from seed plus the 300 odd cuttings (may do an open garden next year so we may need to sell something) we have done in the last few weekends.
I look at the cataloges every night though and there are a few that I would have liked. Next year maybe................!

What exquisite choices, Autumn Damask. Sidonie -would love to hear your thoughts on that one in particular.
Balinbear, what took your fancy in the cattledogs? Enquiring minds who cannot begin to even name 300 roses want to know.

A couple of teas that we don't have Molly Sharmon Crawford, Francis Xavier, Jane Isobella Linton. Also a Noisette Leys Perpetual and Alister Clark's Baxters Beauty. There are a few other ramblers that I like but we really don't have anywhere to grow them.
As I said, next year maybe.
Also of the 300 cuttings, 100 of them are Boarderers and the rest are 10 or so each of differnent other roses. If all goes well I can expect about 80 Boarderers and a couple of each of the rest. I still have half a dozen or so roses that I want to do as well.

No - I asked Judy if they had certain roses and she went out the back to check.

I thought I knew most of the noisettes, but have never heard of Leys Perpetual. Does it have another name?
