'Abraham Darby' x MME Joseph Schwartz'
First flower out on my first Aussie Austin
'Abraham Darby' x 'MME Joseph Schwartz'. Seed was in the pot two years before sprouting this year. I have three of four seedlings now from this cross but this is by far the most vigorous and healthy of them. Looks to have inherited its Tea-parent's foliage. Has intense perfume too. This one will be going into the test bed this weekend to see how it does in the ground.

Simon
Looks real nice. Has a sort of 'Souvenir de Madame Léonie Viennot' look about her (apart from not having the yellow that is in the Leonie flower)

It kind of reminds me of 'Lorraine Lee', Gary. You can't see it in the photo but it does actually have yellow undertones. I was trying to decide whether to call it pink or pink-salmon on its HMF page ( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ). This, being its first flower, is just a hint at what it will end up like. Petal count can more than double, size increase and even the colour can change. So far it's looking really good down here.

I'm amazed that you still had it after two years. We would have lost the pot or reused the soil doing a salvia cutting or something.
Put me down for a cutting when its large enough.

A beauty Simon. Looks like a Tea:)
So many of my DA crosses end up looking like a HT (and I think I know why)!

Here's the second seedling from this cross to flower. Loving this one too.

The hand is my 14 year old daughter's hand... so the flower is pretty big for a first flower.
