'Vivid' 1853

'Vivid' 1853
Does 'Vivid' fade or deepen with age?
I now have my third bloom and I am sure the first two were pink.
The third one is purplish.

Re: 'Vivid' 1853
Vivid is an electric pink with splashes of purple randomly scattered over it. I originally put this down to sun burn, however, even the ones that open low down on the plant protected from the sun seem to get them. It's a very strange combination and I never know whether I like it or despise it. Mine seems to hold its colour quite well in Tasmania. No doubt it will be different in warmer climates like yours Good to see the cuttings went well and amazing that it flowered for you already. Unfortunately it has RMV but on the up-side it makes nice hips and I have new seedlings coming up from it that look good so far. It's fun breeding new versions of old roses!
