First crosses for the season...
Not much is out here but I've managed to get my first crosses done. First was 'Lorraine Lee' x Rosa laevigata. The second was 'Scabrosa' x R. laevigata Neither will probably work... but it would be excellent if they did... getting laevigata into a diploid line of hybrids would be excellent. Not much else is out here at the moment... bring on the hot weather!!!
Re: First crosses for the season...
Good luck with R.laevigata Simon. Even the 1 or 2 of mine that have germinated died within 12 months - despite the best of care.

Yeah... not expecting much... I haven't even been able to get 'Lorraine Lee' seeds to germinate yet...
