I have my first bud forming on this years seedlings of the second batch. Cant wait to see,
they are Maurice Utrillo X Brindabella Bouquet
and The Childrens Rose X BB
the children roses X Duchess de bant.
I like strippy roses. something different that will flower all year around.

I also have crossed the old green roses around the garden for something different.

Photos below are of the last to surprise i have
There parentage is Guitare X about face
Guitare X marchin Konnigan
Just staring to reflush.

This last month i crossed BB X Duchess DeBrant X Black beauty

BB X Guitare as well

In this years first batch of seedlings I had two red thornless rose's and a white. The white shows excellent promise as it is a double and slow to open, repaid repeat, well it has not been with out a bud yet in its short life so far.

I am about to put in another lots of seed, a litle bit of everything, Old world flower all year etc.

I owuld like very much to see photos of 'The Children's Rose' x 'Comtesse de Labarthe'. I have seedlings just up of 'Abraham Darby' x 'Comtesse de Labarthe' that I am quite excited about too. 'Maurice Utrillo' sets lots of OP hips here though I have never been able to get his seeds to germinate. I've been curious as to whether it passes on its stripes or not.

Simon iI have had about 9 Maurice Utrillo seedlings up. I think they like the heat we have up here. Brindabellas roses have used it I think for the parentage of Tiger and it also likes the heat. I have found all Delbards roses freely set hips and love the heat.
The Childrens rose x Comtesse de Labarthe has only germinated 3 seedling so far and i await the first bud of it. They look nice and healthy so far, but are only 1 week - 5 old.

Where did the stripes come from in this one? 'Guitare', "Märchenkönigin' and 'About Face' are non-stripped. Were the 'Maurice Utrillo' seedlings striped?
