Hi David
We have in the past grown all of these apart form White Sparrieshoop. None of them did all that well for us.

Mrs Oakley Fisher is a winner here. A little leggy. Do you mean Ellen Willmott?

Yes Barbara, just a bit of typing error on my part, here it is from HMF, I have plans for her inbreeding with some others similar to her.

It has the look of Dainty Bess too. She does well here. Most roses seem to be OK here, just a bit of black spot at the end of each season. A few ball more here near Frankston than they do at my sister's home near Horsham where it's warmer and drier. Frau Karl Drushki and Tipsy Imperial Concubine particularly but I think they're prone to ball anyway.

Re: Does anyone Grow these
I am hoping to cross it with Dainty Bess and Meg, plus a couple of other singles.

Meg has the look of it - same type of flower but it's a climber, isn't it?

Re: Does anyone Grow these
Dainty Bess and Tipsy Imperial Concubine failed up here.
Have a look at Irish Elegance if you are after a single in the Salmon/orange sort of colour.

I have Irish Elegance. It's in my book as a large pink single. I had a bit of a thing for the singles a while ago. What about Ellen Willmott with Blueberry Hill? I wonder what that could produce.

It is and can climb, but depending what it is mated with that might/could change. BarbaraBarbara B wrote:Meg has the look of it - same type of flower but it's a climber, isn't it?

Interesting choice Barbara, I wonder "what" colour might come from the cross.Barbara B wrote:I have Irish Elegance. It's in my book as a large pink single. I had a bit of a thing for the singles a while ago. What about Ellen Willmott with Blueberry Hill? I wonder what that could produce.
