Well one can only do their best Ozeboy, if I had the cultivation knack, I would give it a go, however after 50 odd attempts in trying to strike cuttings I gave up.

Thanks David for posting the link, I have parused this web site some weeks ago, however it left me a bit confused. On messaging a few questions, I actually got a weird response, one question I asked was the availability of their roses, to receive a message back, what are you taliking about. I said do you sell rose bushes, the reply was, uhh! Hmm

Melville in the new year will not be budding or selling their own roses.......they are lowering the amount of holding roses and will be importing their roses from an outside source, like Dawsons or Jarrahdale roses

Yep, thats correct John, and according to Cliff @ Roworths Jarrahdale have a very very limited range of around 30. Cliff recons that they are not interested in extending their range, they feel that roses are more trouble than they are worth. On speaking to him about about this topic on the decilne of roses growers, he states there still a number of smaller roses nursries around.

I was talking to the owner and his wife of Jarrahdales last week because I was chasing a certain rose. They have more than 30 varieties(just look at Bunnings who they supply) and they go for what is popular to the public as that is their bread and butter.....also they are heavy into standards as well....

Rob has mentioned on another forum that they will be a licensed grower of David Austin roses. He said they would e operating this coming year as it does take around 18/24 months to get a rose up and going.
