Thanks Ausrose - I had read about the Hildesheim rose but couldn't remember type of rose or location ... but had not heard of the Lady Banksia - six feet in diameter is one strong, large Lady ...

Well I got this Fortuniana rose back in February, to eventually take cuttings for grafting, got to say I am disappointed with its growth, I mean its hardly grown at all.
Any ideas on this rose would be welcome.

I think you will find it needs to "get it's feet" Paul, older roses can take a while to establish themselves.
