Re: Feeding Roses.
Gary what you have said is right, when I purchase chemicals/fertilizers I read the active ingredients then go from there with the amounts used and what might need to be added to bring it to what my soil/plants need.

Re: Feeding Roses.
Ok, I understand all this, but what I want to know is how much is "little " as in "little and often" quoted by Ozroz? Also which complete fertilizer would you recommend please?

Re: Feeding Roses.
for chemical fertilizers, a large rose plant sprinkle aroud 1 handful every 2 mths. Organics you will need a bit more because of the lower nitrogen levels. My fertilizer I buy from agricultural companies , (Landmark, elders Pastoral ect) much cheaper , if not go to bunnings and buy it, cheaper than Mitre Ten.

Re: Feeding Roses.
Our teas have started early this year. "Our Parks Yellow Not" which usually does not flower until mid September has been flowering for about 2-3 weeks.
We have quite a bit of colour so I am expecting longer flowering but not as many.
It has been warm but not hot during the days but the main difference is the nights. We have not been cold at all. The good thing is that the plants are flowering and the calm kind conditions mean the flowers are lasting quite well on the bushes.

Re: Feeding Roses.
Hi Guys. I've just returned from my son's with a bag of ash from his wood burning stove. It's red gum. Now I believe I can use this on the garden as potash and I would like to know from you experts how much to use if I use it as a addition to Rooster booster as discussed before. Your advice please.
