Re: How Ironic
Thankyou, thank you very much Isabelle. You put this together very well indeed. I could see you tapping away on your computer as it is the start of winter with a cup of hot chocolate sitting beside you.

Re: How Ironic
Warren, some people on my blog ask about the hardiness of your roses. (I live in zone 8 with sometimes temperatures of zone 7)
Re: How Ironic
Can/should Warren join/post on your blog, that might help, just a thought.

Re: How Ironic
Thanks Isabelle, you are a very talented lady and I'm sure Warren would be extremely pleased.
I was blown away by the first video you sent us a few years ago. When we recently discussed what Warren should do to launch his lifes work with roses my mind went straight back to your original Video.
Warren has obviously given information regarding his roses performance in sub zero temperatures.
I have been a follower of Brownells rose breeding because he was renouned for his cool climate roses called "Sub Zero Series". I grow them here and found them excellent in heat so I am of the conclusion that healthy roses grow well at both ends of the temperature scale.
Many thanks once again Isabelle.

Re: How Ironic
Isabelle these roses in zone 7-8 should be ok as most are combinations of Kordes, Meilland and other USA / European breeders.

Re: How Ironic
That's a good answer !
I've been looking at your roses on Help me Find and I discovered that L'Oiseau Chanteur has Scepter'd Isle as parent. I guess the perfume must be divine.

235 views already Warren. Might be a real winner.
I hope you will remember all the little poor people who helped you in the beginning. (Joke)

Re: How Ironic
Dave what I am going to send will be under 10kg so there is no export documentation or fees necessary, all I would say is a must is the Phytosanitary certificate.

Re: How Ironic
Apparently that is being sorted out over there, but I will have to hear back from France, the CD I sent will say everything they need to know.

Re: How Ironic
Congratulations Warren! It isn't surprising you will likely receive recognition abroad before gaining it at home. It is, unfortunately, often the case. I'm proud and thrilled for you! Kim

He may run short of time with new demands, but I doubt we have to worry about Warren "forgetting" about us here.

Re: How Ironic
I hope both fame and fortune come Warren's way. There's no certainties
in this life and others don't always react the way one would think.
Let's hope it ends up like the Peace rose story where a pile of money was waiting for the Meillands after the war. Those Americans who propagated
Meillands Peace rose must be top draw people. Those feel good stories renew my confidence in people.
My father used to say to me what is best, one hand full of fame and the other full of money? That's for the individual to decide.
