Rose ID Gold medal?
I lost the tag for this rose some time ago. Could it be gold medal do you think? Petals are often outlined in orange/red, petals sometimes slightly frilled. I thought the tag included Victoria something but could be wrong. What do you think?

Roseman I think it came from my local nursery in Bulleen suburb of Melbourne. I did look at HMF and it sounds like mine but the older flowers don't fade so much as indicated. I think it probably is and explains the 'Victoria" on the tag.

Roseman, yes I think you are right - Victoria Gold -named to commemorate the centenary of the Victorian Rose Society. Australian bred by Eric Welsh.
Thank you

Re: Rose ID Gold medal?
I was always under the impression Gold Medal was one of Victoria Gold's parents. Thus the fine red edging.
