Well peoples, we've had this Salmon Scentsation for nearly 3 seasons, the first season I grew this climber it flowered well. The next season I used an eco oil on it which burnt it badly even though it was only a 24 dergree day. It lost all it leaves and the canes went really dark brown to black, so I gave it a really good prune to get rid of the most effected canes, this was during last summer. It came back fairly well, but it never flowered. So this season I gave it a light prune and responding to some advice I moved it so I could train the canes horizontaly, the advice was that this would cause the climber to give out, better
than growing verticaly. As well as all this I also moved it into quite a large pot, and to date, no buds nothing, so I'm open to any suggestions, Please Crying or Very sad

Paul I looked HMF and it isn't listed. What I was looking for was parentage to give indication whether it only flowers on old wood. Has it got any other name which might help track it.

Thanks for that roseman, I do remember we bought it from Bunnings here in Perth
It was a $30 plant not cheap however I think it was supplied locally. I'll chase them up and ask

Paul, what a shame; just one innocent little thing it doesn’t like, and the rose will not forgive you for years to come. When I got my first climbers, I remember reading to never prune them for at least two years, just deadheading and removing dead or diseased canes were prescribed for them. Hope it’ll make a comeback.

Thanks for that Jac2...I'm hoping it does do the right thing because the blooms are full hybridT size and the colour and scent is awesome. flower

Further info roses man, got an email from Lands dale Roses, they were not much help, after giving them some pics with some info, they gave me advice on plant care etc, which
One already knows, and told me to persevere, and that was it no advice why is not budding up.
I did notice however, on the tag that came with the plant it says the breader is...

It is very to get any info about Limes Roses from any place I can think of. The only way open might be to contact Peter Beales Roses(Classic Roses) in England, he might be able to help.
