A Good Read Empty A Good Read

I had a lovely gift for Christmas which I really enjoyed reading. It's a book called "Naming the Rose", discovering who roses are named for, by Roger Mann. Beautiful photos by Paul Barden and Yvonne Arnold and interesting little stories about the roses. Not heavy reading at all, and an ideal gift for a rose lover!

Sounds really good Val. Paul does take nice photos doesn't he Smile I spent my time reading a nice new book too called 'Roses. Old Roses and Species Roses" with photographs by Paul Starosta and text by Elenore Cruse. Not a heavy read either and lovely photos and lots of very yummy OGR. Talking about books... has anyone seen the books called "Man of Roses' by T.R, Garnet about Alistar Clark?

Hi Simon, There are 2 copies of the book available in Australia on abebooks.com although it seems to be rather expensive. Worth it if it's a book your after though. Cheers, David

Glad to help out! Very Happy I use that site a lot for older books. It's great to get hold of 2nd hand books and it covers a lot of bookshops around Australia and the world. Enjoy the read. David
