Re: Windows 7
I 've just got it on my work laptop too... still finding my way around it. It is, as you say, quite different.
Re: Windows 7
Its a bit of a nuisance. There is a lot of differences in the way you access files etc.
Vista was a shocker and a lot of software would not run under it.
I still use XP.

Simon, have you done the tutorial as yet, mate. As you learn something about it let me know how you did it. Then I can try.

Re: Windows 7
I finally gave in and let nick put it on mine. I quite like it but then again I have the luxury of my own on call computer tech. It does take a bit of getting use, doesnt it.

Does Nick do house calls and if so does he talk in common language so idiots like me can understand. If it is not intruding could I ask him some "simple" questions or directions, if that is not ot much trouble.
I feel like this a lot.

Re: Windows 7
Thanks Ripley, found out the sound card was not working, so the tower will be replaced on Saturday, then if it is ok at times I might call upon your offer(Nicks)

Re: Windows 7
My son visited today for an Easter Family Lunch and brought out his camera.
I have a few pix on the computer now and will have to work out how to send them.
He has Windows7 and recons it is very fast and extremely simple. A big improvemant on XL.
