I bought this one last year from a plant stall at a local petrol station/general store last year... it had a flower on it then that was nice... but not this nice... I planted it in one of the rose beds last year and this year it has come up bigger, and darker than it was last year with quite a few flower spikes on it. So beautiful love Now... I wish roses came in this colour.

your have a dutch iris? Very nice. A rose that colour would look weird don't you think?

yep.. I have a lot of dutch iris.... just not as pretty as this one Smile

It's only weird if you limit your thinking to what roses already exist instead of thinking what might one-day exist Wink

It is lovely Simon. It seems more compact than most dutch iris doesn't it?

I just love this one Abbi... it's been flowering now for two weeks or so with no signs of the flowers slowing down... I think I will be lifting this one soon and spreading the bulbs further around the rose gardens this winter.
