Patch Grafting First Attempt

I have tried patch grafting yesterday. I have started grafting recently and only one bud graft has taken out of 10 attempts. I found patch grafting a lot easier. I used a single snap blade knife and a small stencil which I cut out of thin plastic. I made a small square shape stencil. Using the stencil on the scion and stock gave me same size squares which easily match. The scion was from a florist rose and the stock is one of my Rose Edward plants. Will report the progress of this on this thread. Since the scion is from a florist rose I am keeping my fingers crossed.
