This autumn our roses have been the best that we have ever had. We had a garden day at our place on Friday  for the garden club Lee belongs to. We ended up with about 60-70 people here. Obviously we spent a bit of time getting the place looking schmick but the results have left even me astounded. Unfortunately the reduced size of the photos take away the clarity of my photos but here are a few shots to show what I mean.

Some of the roses are still to open (and are covered with buds) so I will post some photos over the next couple of weeks.

Outstanding Gary, when do you find time to go to work. Before the Southern states claim you again for their garden projects, Carol said while we are on holidays in Jul/Aug how about popping down here and doing ours.

David

I go to work 2 days and play golf for 2 days (more or less) and lately we have been working like beavers in the garden for the other 5 days in the week.

What do you mean there are only 7 days in the week?

Looks smashing! I especially like that dark pink rose growing over the arbour above the red bench seat.. Is that Mrs B R Cant?? She is one of my absolute favourites in my little collection but I doubt she's even think about climbing for me.

Your sasanquas look awesome too Smile the arch is great!

John

Not a big one with regard to lawns. All I know is it is grass.

It is a mix of cooch, sweet smother and a lot of other stuff that grow here.

Zoe

Yes. It's Mrs BR Cant. It grows as a climber or a shrub here. Actually it is probably just a big rose that you can use like a climber.
