Crepuscule doing it's thing in my neighbourhood
Big old hedge that started my love affair with roses:

Gotta get me some Creps.

Re: Crepuscule doing it's thing in my neighbourhood
They're just some Crepuscules that are growing in my neighbourhood. I walk the dogs past them every day so I thought I would take some pics for everyone while I was there.
They are three different houses.

Thank you for these terrific pix, Zoe. If your husband keeps buying up businesses and investing in property, , you could own half the Dandenongs in no time.
Although I think a chateau on the Loire would suit you better,
The trouble with photos of established climbers is that they create desire that can never be satisfied unless you have infinite patience and time. The true rose porn

Nope. I've spoken to the lady with the weeping standard a bit (pictured in Paul's thread about weepers) about roses coz she has heaps or roses in her partially shaded front yard, but she's just sold the place and will be moving out soon.
Why? Is it naughty to post pics of other people's roses? I hope I haven't stuffed up.

No it is not any trouble Zoe. I was think of the age of the plants. You could ask the old/new owner for some cuttings and 'possibly' strike one, same for the other houses around you.
The other thing is if we could get details, it could be posted on HMF-roses.

Yes! Yes! If you can, Zoe, please ask the age of these plants (also, how many plants did it take to create each bountiful display).

Re: Crepuscule doing it's thing in my neighbourhood
Hi,
this Crepuscule is about 12 years old and has been cut back hard in the past. It's one of my favourite roses.

Nice one Barbara! The hedge is 6 plants and gets all day sun, they're quite old and woody / at least 6 years old. There are 4 climbers on the verandah, but I don't know how long they've been there as it's a new route. And it's just one plant on the split rail fence, it's been there for 3 years.
