Fiona's Wish
Does anybody grow this rose, my local Dawson's recon it is a leggy spindly grower that doesn't fill out. Hmmm I would love feedback on growth habits, blooms and foliage please, I'm in mind to buy it but will take on your advice. Thanks
Re: Fiona's Wish
Paul, ours was a lovely bush, with big and fragrant blooms. Only downside was that the blooms didn't last a day.....when you cut them....

Re: Fiona's Wish
They are okay. Not as good as some. I don't always pay attention.... Just pick a bunch of roses from the garden and then plonk them in a vase.paulh wrote:Nice one autumn, how tp your blooms fair. Neptunes blooms dont seem to last long. Your plant seems to be quite bushy

Re: Fiona's Wish
I first came across Fiona's Wish at the Adelaide Botanic Garden in Nov. 2012. I was really taken with how the rose just stood out, particularly in a group of several plants. It is on my list but I need to wait until i can get a bed ready that can take 3-5 of them.
Which is just plain greedy really...

Thanks hariet for the photos, its made up my mind, so I'm off to get one this weekend to put in a pot
Re: Fiona's Wish
It was interesting to note Fiona's Wish isn't a renamed rose as many of the roses for a cause are but rose bred by Alain Meilland and released in 2001 as Fiona's Wish.
