Potassium bicarbonate

Hi peoples, I used some Eco Potassium bicarbonate for Powdery Mildew today, just wanted to know if anyone else uses it and what results they have had, Thanks

I did the squirt of water thing last year on Kathleen Harrop, took a couple of blasts but did the trick.

Wouldn't squirting water just spread the spores

never had a problem with recurrence.....

I can't help you with that one Paul, Kathleen Harrop was planted all by herself. But it did clear her up in about 2 weeks.

Hi Paul I use it ..as in Eco Organics products.. Eco fungicide is now what used to be called Eco Rose.. & I add Eco Rose & Eco oil together & spray ..I find results brilliant ..when I remember to use it & yes when I get lazy I just use squirts of water lol ..but the potassium Biocarbonate is used with Bio Dynamics & the belief is you need it to change the alkalinity of the leaf every 6 weeks so that the black spot doesnt settle & it helps to strengthen the cell wall of the leaf..

Thanks Kinhel for you input, I've tried the water method, however I don't get good results hence giving eco a try. One thing though, on the label it advises to combine vege oil with the mix, instead i used spreadmax, a spreader to help it stick rather than oil.

NO worries ..yes the waterjet really only works short term for me...far better to knock it on the head ..not familar with spreadmax..I only use the OCP Eco oil with it as thats helps to keep down the constant scale as well grrrr ...& I have so many ladybirds & wasps doing there job at present that I need to be careful I dont harm them ..interested to hear of your results later down the track

Me too, especially regarding impact on insect life. I have ordered a whole lot of Bourbons for winter delivery and apparently they're a fungal nightmare. But I don't want to kill any bugs.
