Rain has come at last to the Lower Hunter. Roses are totally confused. Weather is so unseasonably warm that they think it's time to flower again.

Yep, first day of winter and it's cold and rainy, right on cue. Poor old Kathleen Harrop has sent out a big fat basal cane in the last couple of weeks, but it looks like there's no hope for that one.

Zoe, I have highlighted part of your post, the reason is, I think if it is not to big and you do not get harsh frost, why not cover it with some light material to protect it from the elements, just a thought.
