Hello Alee!
Welcome to the forum. I don't think we've had anyone from your magic part of the world before. Do the roses grow well there ?

Re: Hello from the Maldives
Val, Tasv and Roseman thanks.
Val, we didn't have different roses a few years back. We had only 3 types of roses in Maldives. The weather here is very hot and humid. I have got the following roses from UK and from Australia. I am just a beginer and trying out to see if these roses grow in our climate. Josephs Coat
Golden Celebration
The McCartney Rose
Julio Iglesias
Don Juan
Abraham Darby
Summer Song
Jude the Obscure
Black Magic
Jeanne La Joie
Red Cascade
fiesta ruby
Mr. Lincoln
Madame Lambard
Lady Hillingdon
Chales De Gaulle
Madame Lambard and Lady Hillingdon are doing very well and the others have bloomed few flowers.
These roses were initially in my very hot balcony and I have recently moved it to where I work. I have had some new shoots since I moved. Will let you all know if it's doing well or not.

Re: Hello from the Maldives
A nice selection, Alee. I wish you luck in growing them.
The heat shouldn't be a problem but the humidity might be. Black Spot loves humidity.
Keep us posted! Photos would be nice too

Hallo Alee,
good to meet you again. I believe you are on the right place here, because Simon is an expert in breeding at 'hot places'
regards Bemo
