I remember someone mentioning buying one of these a while back but can't remember who it was. I'm thinking of planting several along the back fence as a nice backdrop. Now they have come down in price, this has become a possibility. No way on earth was I going to pay $170 per plant! affraid
If anyone out there has Magnolia Fairy, I'd be very interested to know how it's going.

I have Jacaranda Camellias along our back fence , big mistake , i thought they got shaded by next doors house , but no they'r not and they have got burnt this year . We have put shade cloth over them , bit of a nuisance , probably should have put some natives there i think or at least something sun hardy .....

Haven't heard of the Jacaranda Camellias. I know the Sasanqua one are pretty sunhardy and, as a general rule, the japonicas need shade.

Isn't it annoying when things you plant don't work out and your glorious vision goes splat? That's why I thought I'd get some feedback about Magnolia Fairy.
Jordan, I'm waiting for the cream one to be released, which is more highly perfumed (from my brief sniffs at the nursery awhile ago) and supposed to grow to 3m. Amenable to pruning. Has your nursery got this? I considered Port Wine (too slow growing but right size eventually) and Heaven sent is just too tall for my needs.

Thanks Jordan, I'd appreciate it if you could give me a heads up when the cream fairy is released. The port wine fragrance would be wasted way down the back. I'm going to keep it in mind though for an area closer to the house that will need developing in the future. Perfume wafting on warm summer nights - yes, sounds good.
