Re: Some photos after much needed rain
Did you realise that the Darling Downs Spring Rose Show is on this weekend at the Holy Name Hall, Bridge Street, Toowoomba. I have been there most of the day helping set up and also working on the Heritage Roses Display. The two clubs join together twice a year in Toowoomba. The other occasion is at Gardenfest on the long weekend in May. Our theme this show is Kitchen with roses. So we will use parsley plants for foliage around our old roses. It is an exciting time of year. However, what roses weren't burnt before this welcome rain will have slowed down considerably. Those I had predicted would be good for picking on Friday and now still not showing colour. Oh well, I am sure we will have a great time.

Re: Some photos after much needed rain
awesome photos rosyteesh, may I ask what type of camera you are using.. I guess with photos of this quality it wouldn't be a cheap one.
Re: Some photos after much needed rain
From my iPhone Paul lol
I don't have much time to get my camera out after work before it gets dark so I just use my phone. Not too shabby!

Re: Some photos after much needed rain
It's probably one of my most healthiest roses at the moment. I thought it was doing well in Winter, and then after a small cut back it shot up and is almost 2m high. Has flowers on it all the time.

Absolutely stunning Rosy, pity it doesn't have much scent. But the flower is to die for.

Re: Some photos after much needed rain
I was going to say that before, that it's a shame that it has no scent. It's one of my favourite shaped & coloured roses, I was so disappointed when it didn't have a beautiful scent. Same as Black Velvet unfortunately.

Re: Some photos after much needed rain
Lovely, must have.. I was told by a couple of rose nurseries that they won't get it because it's no good, so that just goes to show anythings possible. I do know of one place that has it...bit of a drive though.
