"Baby" is the best car ever... Never thought I would say that after parting with Delilah, my '75 corolla, she was a beauty- always been a sucker for the old classics, but for a modern girl, she is an awesome lil thing! I have taken her through floods, filled her with hay, or dogs or baby goats... she is a great little car! And instantly reacts to road conditions, sticks when all around are aquaplaning... she 2001 model and still marvelous.
Re: Life is a rollercoaster.....whoopee!
I have noticed that Deb hasn't been on the forum since Sunday and I was geting a bit worried.
Anyway I just checked elders weather site for Gootchie and they have had another 65mls of rain in the last couple of days and it hasn't finished yet.
As her place floods she certainly didn't need more rain.

Re: Life is a rollercoaster.....whoopee!
Hey folks, sorry bout that, yes it's still raining and we are supposed to flood again so they say... heh heh at least there is a chance the lounge, books etc I have dragged out and piled up to burn may wash down and be someone else's problem! (just joking Mr Karma, please don't hit me!)
I have been trying to drag, scrape and shovel yucky wet "stuff" out so I can clean up, but still here! Just noticed that a little DA rose I grew from cutting and had planted in a hollow log, after being washed away, and dumped on it's side, has celebrated it's "homecoming" by putting out a lovely flower and a cluster of buds! Sign of continuing life! If the little rose can do it, then surely we can too!

I have heard folk complaining about being bored mate, all I can say is "O what I wouldn't give for a bit of boredom!!"
You W.A folk, you can have your water back now thanks, had enough... "
Now if only we could figure how to post-pack rainclouds.....

I am sure Deb would love some of your sunshine John.
They had another 51.4 mls overnight.
At this rate she will have webbed feet.

HAH! Try 150ml.... water was back up inside the bottom part of the house yard, then slowly receded, hopefully toward all you sun-bunnies! We NEED a bit of your right now to dry us out! Neighbour actually tried to mow his lawns.... til he got bogged
No rain in sight atm.... huffing and puffing in your general direction just as hard as I can!

Re: Life is a rollercoaster.....whoopee!
Sorry to here about all the difficulties you are having ATM, but you have a graet attitude.
I agree we need some of the WA sun to dry us out at the moment.
Not only have we copped some rain in the last week we also had a water manin burst at the back of our house on Tuesday this week it took nearly 2 hours to turn it off. lucky we are not in drought ATM

Hi Lildeb, I hope things are drying out a bit for you now and your partner is feeling better. I hope you get the chance to be bored or relax soon.

Re: Life is a rollercoaster.....whoopee!
Hey guys, thank you for the sunny thoughts-keep them coming! Glorious delicious sunshine! Everywhere you look there are farmers carting fenceposts and wire, post-hole drivers for those who have them.... the area is abuzz... I am so sorry to hear about the burst watermain Tamara, that would have been the last thing you would have needed, so true, if it had happened three years ago... oooh boy....
