Teas on their own roots? Empty Teas on their own roots?

Deb, in general how are Teas as own-root plants? I know this is pretty vague but as a group if you were to generalise how would you rate them on their own roots?

Teas on their own roots? Empty Teas on Ownroots

Post by rosemeadow 11th January 2009, 00:40

Recently, in Summer, I had a small cutting of Mme Antoine Marie grow calloused and roots very quickly under a part up turned bottle over a pot of sand. The plant I took the cutting from was itself a own root plant.
I have also got cuttings of Duchesses de Brabant, bush and climber, Souvenir D'Elise Vardon, Lady Hillington, Mrs Herbert Stevens climber, Monsuier Tiller and Sombreuil ( if it is still a tea rose ? ) to grow as ownroots during Winter.
