Re: Rosemeadow's garden photos
I doubled up on a rose with a similiar photo but it has been very nice this Spring, Rose de Retsch, and doubled a bit on the edges of some photos. There are a few other garden shots I want to add latter. They are not in a very good order.

Older shots David, mostly take before you visitted here.
Thanks Autumn Damask and Meryl !
Corrinne will be wearing glasses soon. One eye is being switched off or turning in, because both eyes are not foscusing togeter properly.

Re: Rosemeadow's garden photos
Yeh! I did notice all those grasses Karen. You will need that living mulch (Grass) now the hot weather has arrived. Just mow and clip around the bases. Do remove those deep rooted weeds but keep the shallow rooted grasses.
I have a garden with about 40 HT's in it with 75mm of mulch on top and they need watering regularly. Due to this watering up comes the humidity and Black Spot is worse than those just planted in the lawn with the grass up to the plant. Due mainly to my wifes tidyness the grass has to be mowed and clipped around the roses regularly. These plants are some of the healthiest here. I'm even fertilising this year and watering in. Have also used more foliar sprays like Thrive, Seaweed, fish etc. One of the problems here is the soil is medium to light and fertilisers applied to the drip line tend to disapate quickly.

Re: Rosemeadow's garden photos
Thats what I do Bruce, when I get around to it, mow and pull out the weeds and grass around the roses and put it back around them as mulch. Ond day I will use natural fertilisers, compost and foiler sprays, but it won't probably be on this garden.

Re: Rosemeadow's garden photos
In Sydney, it just never stops, though it's not covered as totally as that. Very easy to grow. It roots where it touches ground.

Re: Rosemeadow's garden photos
We have three of them. Two grow well while the other just shoots up branches, flowers and then the branches die off.
I think it is the root stock as the sick one came from a different nursery to the other two.
I might get some growing from cuttings or layering and see if they do better.
They are beautiful plants and always flowering.
