Afternoon tea with David Rumsey @ Parramatta Park mid November!

Hi all,

Had a call today from David (Clark) regarding David Rumsey's visit in mid November. David (C) is having computer problems at present, so is unable to post and has asked me to advise all those who are interested, that David Rumsey and his wife are arriving in Australia from Basel (Switzerland) in early November this year and are so excited at the opportunity to meet with rose enthusiasts at the gardens named in honour of his parents (Roy & Heather Rumsey).

If anyone from this forum is interested in attending, can you please indicate your interest on this post so we know how many people we could expect.

David (C) will be notifiying the folks from the Heritage Roses whilst I will be asking the Parramatta Trust folks if they are interested in joining those of us at an afternoon tea with the Rumsey's sometime in mid November 2011.

The afternoon tea will most likely be a simple, BYO, but if the Trust or Heritage Rose people are interested, it may become a catered event (fund raiser for the gardens).

David (C) will advise further as he becomes aware of the actual dates and other information. The Rumsey's are due to arrive in the first few days of November, but of course, they have family to catch up with first, so it is more than likely that this event will be around the 2nd or 3rd week in November.

The Parramatta Trust is very interested in the event and David is also publishing it in the HRIA Journal.

More info will be posted as the time approaches.
