This is a rose I found in a broken weed-infested pot in a throw-out pile at a nursery here. I grabbed it and they gave it too me as a freebie and after a re-pot and some tlc it is now looking awesome. It's a once flowering rose with strong perfume.

Warren, this rose is now a monster. I've cut it back a little bit but it is now about 5ft high and wide. It forms OP hips easily and forms lots of flowers in late spring/early summer. It's interesting that some cuttings I got from a different source, have turned out to be identical to it. These were identified as maybe Rosa Indica Major and this seems to fit. The hips a large and orange and the seeds germinate easily. I'm thinking this may also be Indica Major. I thought I had some more recent photos but can't seem to find them at the moment. Will keep trying to track them down.

Keep in mind Warren that this rose was very seriously neglected and malnourised when that photo was taken. It was about 3 years overdue for repotting and so chronically potbound. Since I pruned the roots and planted it in the ground it now looks quite different... still looking for the other photos.
