Simon, I wish to extend to you a hearty thanks for all the work you did in 2010 to make Rose Talk one of the most enjoyable and informative rose sites. 2011 should be better as David is kept busy welcoming new members that will also contribute.
All the new seedlings coming from people you inspired to try pollinating should be a highlight this year.
Thank you.

Bruce

I wholeheartedly second that motion Bruce! Whilst I have not been on here much, I have 'lurked' a fair bit (as they used to say on the Wardenweb) and you have no idea how much encouragement to surge on towards creating my new garden venture your posts on RoseTalk has been to me.

You have all always behaved so civilised and respectful of one another and I hope that this will forever be the case here.

Simon, thanks especially to you for making it all happen and for your generosity of time and rose sharing ...

Long may this forum continue in peace, harmony and in the quest of and for love of that found or newly bred drop dead gorgeous rose I love you

I'll wholeheartedly "third" the motion.

I've "lurked" on many a rose or garden forum over the years, and this is the only one I've I wanted to join and be a part of. Lots of fun.
Lots of work and thought and effort has gone into the forum, so you have definately earn't that extra "smell" or two this year. My goal is to get that winning shot into the monthly photo competition and get my 15 (or 2) minutes of fame at last.... Very Happy

I want to comend you too on creating your wonderful rose forum, Simon !!!!!!!!
I have finally got another second hand computer so I can come back to enjoy it here again.
Simon, I did make it to Tasmania in the new year after a rushed organising of it. I was travelling around with my brother and our children. We went around more of the eastern side and ran out of time and money just near the end. Also I hadn't contacted you about it so I thought I would visit you next time, which should be in autumn, if you are free then.
I so enjoyed being in Tasmania again, that I have decided to move down in about eight years, when my older girls go off to university. There is a big mine going in near here and that has also changed my thoughts on staying here.

Thanks Simon.
I just found out what needs to be done to move my rose collection to Tasmania - dirt washed off and fumication done in Melbourne and then a certificate.
