Hands on Bud Grafting Workshop.
I have conducted bud grafting courses here at Glenorie in North Western Sydney. Two Members of the Rose Soc of NSW workshop have become proficient grafters.
You would learn the reasons for success or failure and not just be shown how to use a knife.
If sufficient people were interested I would hold another workshop approx mid March 2017 for
Forum members.
Just reply to this topic to show your interest in registering so I can determine if viable.

Re: Hands on Bud Grafting Workshop.
Would appear members are spread too far apart and could not get to Sydney, so will go rabbit and fox shooting instead.
The law relating to PBR (Patented) roses was that you can propagate the latest PBR roses for your own use but not for anyone as a give away or sell.
I would like it known special thanks to David Rushton for all the buds his company sent to me and without them I'm sure a lot of hard to come by roses would have been lost.
My most gratifying experiences with roses have come from bud grafting and breeding new varieties and some of the most wonderful people I met along the way.
Be careful when buying new roses as some of the latest
do not perform as well as the launch advertising. Swing tags with those fantastic illustrations are only a guide.
I will consider this offer withdrawn and get on with all the good things in life.

Re: Hands on Bud Grafting Workshop.
Hello king-country, you have caught me at a weak moment.
Now is the time to cut and plant understocks so if you want to start better come around before the middle of August.
Actual budding takes place on these understocks this coming December. You get the best results sticking to the seasons though some budding can be done 365 days a year when ever growing understocks and buds are available.
I will send you a message.
