FUNGUS OR INFESTATION
My singular, potted rose has either become infested with some sort of bug or fungus. Stems and leaves are becoming covered with clusters of small brown spots and various parts of the bush are dying off.
Have done some research on the matter but have not found a suitable solution; plenty of information on black spots but nothing on brown.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, please.

Re: FUNGUS OR INFESTATION
Hi, can you give some more info, like, is the pot in a damp area, how much sun, any wind, when you first saw the problem, did the spots look brown, did the plant have any form of a greyish powder on it, temperature when first seen, anyone near you use chemicals. These are just some of the details needed to help.

FUNGUS OR INFESTATION
Hello Again,
Apologies for not replying to your earlier queries regarding my post. Unfortunately, I've been unable to access the internet for over a week and could view my emails.
I cannot be sure but I think my post may have been deleted, so I have copied the text via the link provided in the email response.
In any event, I am able to advise that I reside in Beechboro. The rose is located in quite a warm area, under a patio and receives a fair degree of direct sunlight in the afternoons, although it has been sheltered for periods by a large umbrella used to keep the patio area cool. I have sprayed for thrips/small crickets but haven't applied any another products. The plant is well watered, usually on a daily basis. The area where it is located is quite sheltered but at times the sea breeze blows in quite strongly.
I can submit a photo of the issue tomorrow.
Thanks again.

Re: FUNGUS OR INFESTATION
Morning again, I think from what you have said I think you have the results from "powdery mildew", , also do you know the name of the rose. ?, I also think it could be radiated humidity from the patio. What is the pot made of ?.

Thanks for your response.
I have attached several photos of photos of the plant and you may be able to see that it is a large terracotta pot. K

Photos attached this time - a rather convoluted process.

Re: FUNGUS OR INFESTATION
I could be wrong but I think I can see a little white sap sucker on the back of that leaf that is upside down. Could be a spider mite or something similar. These insects also make brown spots

Re: FUNGUS OR INFESTATION
Yes I agree Gary, it does look like there are or could be some Spider mite damage on the leaves. As for the brown damage on the canes I still suspect powdery mildew.
Mcguth from what I am seeing is, cement patio, Terracotta pot, plants in the pot other than a rose. I suspect humidity with this. Yes the terracotta pot is lovely, it will hold heat and also make the water that is used to keep the rose alive warm.
In my mind I think the powdery mildew is there and will need some sulphur spray, available from the usual shops, or you could try some of the ECO sprays. This might sound harsh but "I" would cut off/prune the effected canes closer to the grafted area and let it reshoot which should be relatively quick in Perth. Just my thoughts.
As for the trouble it is to upload photos, it is the system which is used, yes it is hard to start with but it becomes easier with use.
